If you are looking for a grant to fund your thesis in a Spanish university I recommend you to pay attention to this post.
La Caixa is announcing their grants program for the year 2013. They are giving 25 four-year grants adding up a total amount of 113.500 euros per grant. Candidates will have until April 16 to submit their project proposal to the La Caixa Foundation. The election process will be carried out between May and June and, at the beginning of July, the resolution will be made public. Chosen candidates will have to start in their PhD programs between September 2013 and January 2014.
Among other requisites, the basis of the grants program stablishes that only candidates that will do a PhD with the Mention of Excellence distinction will be elegible. Be sure to verify if your PhD ranks among this category. You can find all the information about the call in the official webpage and in this document (in Spanish).
And of course, if you want to be sure you are presenting a strong proposal with good chances of being elected, don’t forget to follow the Five questions of a project proposal. Good luck!
